2010 One Box Tournament
On January 16, 2010, Wildlife Properties held their annual one box tournament. A total of 13 teams participated in the tournament and over 100 people attended the awards dinner later that evening, making this the largest one box tournament to date.
The One-Box tournament is a one day upland bird hunting tournament where teams of 5 hunters are given one box of shotgun shells and draw for field assignments. Each team hunts their drawn field for a set amount of time and the scores are tallied at the end to determine a winning team. Black pheasants are worth 10 points, regular ringneck pheasants are worth 5 points and chukars are worth 3 points.
A buffalo steak dinner and awards banquet is held that evening where hunters and their guests enjoy telling stories of the day’s hunt.
Thank you to all of the hunters and their families for coming out and supporting the event – we hope to see you again next year!
